Some time ago, I asked if it was possible to change the color of the LED light on my Android, so I decided to look for an app that can change notification’s color on my device.
How to customize the led color on your android?
I found two interesting apps Light Manager and Light Flow.
Light Manager – LED settings, it’s a Free app that allows you to configure LED color and the flashing frequency for notification.
Light Flow – Control LED, there are two versions of Light Flow, a Lite and the full version.
This apps allows you to control the notification color for many applications and system events such as:
- Miss call
- Calendar reminder
- Google Talk
- *Facebook Messenger
- *GO SMS Pro
- *Handcent SMS
- *Any 3rd party apps (Onl applicable in Alternating Mode)
- Battery charging
- Battery charged
- No signal
- Low battery No Wifi
- Silent Mode On
- No 3G/4G
- Mobile Data On
- Wifi On
- Bluetooth On
ROOT is required for those marks with asterisk *
You can choose many nice colors for your notifications, now you will know which application is sending a notification. I use the Light Manager – LED settings app on my android device
Update: Light Manager 2 – LED Settings
This new version has the same functions and the same appearance as the first version but users have some issues with the new version:
- Light Manager 2 cannot configure the ignition frequency.
- While the new app works, it show a notification icon at the top of the screen and a permanent notification, it’s a bit annoying.
The notification icon can be modfied in the advanced settings, just choose “Show transparent icon” in the App Notification and Icon Settings, but the permanent notification remains there.
You can download the free/lite version or buy it on Google Play, bye people.
You may send an email to the app developer to request for the apk installer of previous version of Light Manager app.
